Does the story have a clear structure and plot?
Is it engaging?
Are the characters distinctive, compelling, and well-developed?
Is there a clear message or perspective to the film?
CREATIVITY/ORIGINALITY
How do you rate the filmmakers’ creativity and originality?
Does the film display innovative ideas or story telling techniques?
Are there elements of the design (art direction, HM&U, wardrobe), music, casting, or other aspects of the film that feel unique?
Did the filmmakers demonstrate resourcefulness?
CINEMATOGRAPHY
How do you rate the quality of the cinematography?
Are camera angles and techniques used to add meaning to the story?
Is the lighting visually effective?
EDITING
Are the images arranged logically and effectively in a way that fits the purpose of the film?
Is the structure of the film tight and clear?
